Policies

What I can expect from my clients:

  1. Sessions begin and end at scheduled time. Sessions that begin late because the client arrived late at the appointed time and are full price.

  2. Be present (not under the influence of drugs or alcohol).

  3. Clients provide health history and update as necessary.

  4. If cancellation is necessary, please give 24 hours notice, your cancelled appointment will be charged unless it can be filled. Emergency cancellations will be determined by the practitioner.

  5. Payment is expected at the time service is rendered.

  6. Sexual harassment is not tolerated. If the practitioner's safety feels compromised, the session is ended immediately.

  7. The office is a non-smoking environment.

What clients can expect from me:

  1. I provide my clients with a competent and professional session each time they come for an appointment, addressing the client's specific needs for that session.

  2. I return calls within 24 hours.

  3. Clients are treated with respect and dignity.

  4. I charge a fair price for the services and offer a sliding fee scale when appropriate.

  5. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made prior to treatment. I accept cash and credit cards.

  6. I do not provide direct billing for insurance. I will gladly assist clients in filling out the appropriate forms.

  7. Appointments are confirmed the day before the session.

  8. I perform services for which I am qualified for. I will happily refer my clients to appropriate specialists when work is not within my scope of practice or not in the client's best interest

  9. I keep records and review charts before each session.

  10. I stay current with information and techniques by reading, and taking workshops on a regular basis.

  11. I respect all clients regardless of their age, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, body type, political affiliation, state of health or personal habits.

  12. Privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.

  13. If I need to cancel an appointment, I will do so within 24 hours whenever possible. If an emergency arrises I will provide a 50% discount on the client's next session. For nonemergency cancellations of less than 24 hours, the next session is free of charge.

  14. My equipment is clean and safe.

  15. Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times.

  16. If a client is dissatisfied with a treatment, and no other arrangement can be agreed upon, a 50% refund of the treatment is honored.

  17. Clients are draped with a sheet or towel at all times during a session. Only the parts of the body being worked on are exposed at any time.
